Reactor Prep and Remote Prep

Who is it for?

Beginners, dabblers. There is no admissions test, and anyone may sign up.

Where will you end up?

Comfortable working with the major components of JavaScript: objects, arrays, functions and variables. You will gain a sense of how these pieces fit together to build an incredible variety of apps and software.

How long does it take?

Reactor Prep is four weeks of four 3.5 hour classes a week, for a total of 56 hours.  Remote Prep is four weeks of five 3 hour classes a week, for a total of 60 hours.

While it is possible to take these courses with no coding experience whatsoever, a little bit of self-study will help you get maximum value from Reactor Prep. Reactor Prep and Remote Prep are fast-paced courses ideal for people who have some basic familiarity with JavaScript principles, perhaps through a free online course. The curricula of these two courses are virtually identical--the principal difference is that Reactor Prep takes place in downtown San Francisco and Remote Prep is in an online digital classroom.

Fulcrum

Who is it for?

Intermediate coders, people with a scattershot coding education, anyone who has completed Hack Reactor Prep or Remote Prep. There is no admissions test, and anyone may sign up.

Where will you end up?

Experienced applying JavaScript concepts and debugging techniques to build simple apps and websites from scratch, and fully prepared at a technical level for the Hack Reactor interview.

How long does it take?

Fulcrum is a self-guided online course that typically takes 80 hours.

Fulcrum is the perfect course for people who have moved past the beginner phase, but still get frustrated by the gap between what they can do and what they want to do. Fulcrum’s curriculum mimics that of Hack Reactor’s precourse material, so students who go from Fulcrum to an immersive course may skip precourse. Making it the ideal preparation for the Hack Reactor technical interview. Best of all, students who complete Fulcrum and go on to be enrolled in any 12-week JavaScript course in our network can deduct the Fulcrum tuition from that of the immersive course.
