After our 36-week coding bootcamp, you'll be what you want to be: a software engineer, fully capable of tackling unique and unfamiliar problems and building complex applications on the job.
Classes are held two weeknights and one half-Saturday per week. During the rest of the week, our technical staff is available for video conferencing six days a week. Plus, you'll have your community of peers just a click away on Slack if you need to connect, ask questions, or organize ways to work together outside of class time.
This part-time program has the same quality, curriculum, and outcome as our full-time programs.
You'll work through hundreds of hours of problems designed to prepare you for success in technical interviews and in the workplace.
You'll gain the skills to plan, scope, build, and manage applications. You'll learn cutting-edge tech like React and ES6, along with Full Stack JavaScript and computer science fundamentals.
We'll challenge you to meet deadlines and requirements, build autonomy, communicate with precision, and collaborate effectively. Then we'll help you land the job you've worked so hard to prepare for.
With our self-guided Basic Prep course, you can refresh your JavaScript fundamentals and prepare for the technical assessments required for our 12- and 36-week bootcamps. If you need more live support, consider our 19-week course (no coding experience required).
This is a 20-hour per week program. Eleven of those hours are spent in class and the remaining 9 consist of independent work or pairing with classmates.
Some students may need to put in extra hours if they’re struggling with material or have fallen behind. Students who are regularly putting in more than 20-25 hours per week on average should reach out to their Instructors for coaching.
In-class hours:
Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday 6 PM - 9 PM PT: 3 hours per evening
Saturday 9 AM - 2 PM PT: 5 hours
Required active engagement in live Zoom classrooms with video on
Out-of-class hours:
Must be at least 9 hours
Must include flexible, mid-week hours to pair with partners or work with groups
This is also when you’ll make time to meet with our program staff to discuss performance, coaching on curriculum, and learning support
This 36-week program is divided into two parts: a Junior phase and a Senior phase. It's required that Junior students pair program together and that Senior students work in teams. Because of this, students must work with one another to coordinate schedules and do not have the option of doing all out-of-class work on weekends. Programming with others builds critical interpersonal skills and mirrors working with a team of software engineers in a professional environment.
We constantly improve our coding bootcamp curriculum based on new trends, changing needs of the tech industry, and feedback from our students and alumni.
