Ongoing Scholarships We Offer

Hack Reactor is proud to offer scholarships in partnership with innovative organizations in our community. Scholarships are available at various times throughout the year - please continue to check this page for updates and new offerings.

  • Galvanize is committed to making education accessible to everyone. Our goal is to ensure that immersive tech training is financially accessible for all qualified students who demonstrate aptitude, drive and determine. Galvanize is offering two full scholarships per cohort, starting with this February Immersive.

    Scholarship Application Period:
    Applicants must submit an application and be accepted to the immersive program by December 31st, 2018.

    February 12-week immersive programs.
  • This scholarship is available for veterans or active members of the Reserves or National Guard who demonstrate financial need. Applicants will need to provide military documentation to verify scholarship eligibility. See below for program eligibility.

    Applicants are considered on a rolling basis until the $300,000 in funds are distributed.

Previous Scholarships We Offered

  • Optimizely and Hack Reactor are teaming up to invest in underrepresented talent via our I/OWNit sponsorship. Together we will provide 3 underrepresented students with a full tuition scholarship to Hack Reactor’s San Francisco campus, a living stipend of $1500 per month while at the immersive, followed by an internship opportunity at Optimizely post graduation and access to Optimizely mentors.

  • Hack Reactor is proud to offer a $1.3 million Scholarship Fund for individuals who are passionate about coding. This round we are giving out scholarships that are open to all applicants as well as additional scholarships for underrepresented groups in software engineering. Specifically we will be awarding:

    • 1 full scholarship and 1 half scholarship available for Women
    • 1 full scholarship and 1 half scholarship available for underrepresented People of Color
    • 2 half scholarships available to anyone

    *Due to state regulations we can not offer scholarships to those attending the New York campus at this time.

    All scholarship applicants will be considered for the 2 half scholarships that are open to anyone. If your application shows that you identify as a Woman or an underrepresented Person of Color, you will be automatically considered for the additional scholarships we have reserved for each of these underrepresented groups.

  • The Facebook scholarship will fuel Telegraph Track, Hack Reactor’s diversity and inclusion program. Telegraph Track is an extension of the Hack Reactor’s immersive program that focuses on building a strong community to support the careers of underrepresented software engineers. One additional full scholarship is still available and is being offered.

  • Team Austin is looking to make a huge impact on the Austin coding community by offering a $7500 scholarship to one student interested in going to Hack Reactor Austin. You can apply through our Hack Reactor scholarship portal.

  • In November 2016 we teamed up with Docker to bring more diversity into the tech field. Together, we gave out three scholarships to our programs over a 6 month period. These scholarships covered the full cost of tuition and were given to students that have a commitment to advancing equality in their community.
