We’re committed to making software engineering education more accessible by removing financial barriers for aspiring engineers. To support this mission, we’ve introduced the Hack Reactor Merit Scholarship, a $2,500 award for students demonstrating strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
In a recent Q&A with Course Report, Jeff Pryor, our Director of Sales and Enrollment, shared insights on the scholarship and tips for success on the Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test (CCAT), the key eligibility requirement.
The Merit Scholarship is available to incoming students of our Beginner and Intermediate Coding Bootcamps who pass the CCAT during the admissions process. The test evaluates problem-solving and critical thinking through verbal reasoning, math and logic, and spatial reasoning questions.
The scholarship can be combined with other financing options and is open to all applicants, regardless of their payment plan. For applicants looking to boost their chances of earning the scholarship, we recommend reading this blog post on how to prepare for the CCAT.
